Williams Scotsman is acquiring a privately held competitor for $1.1 billion, a deal that will more than double the company's revenue. Baltimore-based WillScot Corp., the parent of Williams Scotsman, will purchase Modular Space Holdings Inc., the parent of Berwyn, Pennsylvania-based Modular Space Corp., using a combination of cash and stock.
