With our recent release of MindNode 4.3 for iOS we fully committed on bringing the power and joy of Mind Mapping to as many people as possible, regardless of their disabilities or challenges. With support for Apple's screen reader VoiceOver, Switch Control, and further assistive technologies like Reduced Motion or Bold Text, MindNode now fully adjusts to your needs. This is a major milestone for us, and I'd like to introduce you to some of the improvements we made.VoiceOverThe biggest and most impactful improvement is full support for VoiceOver. VoiceOver is a revolutionary screen reader and a great way to navigate your app, even if you can't see it. It enables you to hear a description of everything happening on your screen, from battery level to who's calling to which app your finger's on.We carefully went through each and every corner of the app, labeled the controls and made the most important actions as easily accessible as possible. Here's MindNode's VoiceOver support in action. In contrast, this is how it worked before. We are more than happy with the result and hope that you'll enjoy it just as much.Bold TextWe have had basic support for Dynamic Type for a while now, with MindNode 4.3 we added support for the system-wide setting Bold Text. Enabling this setting makes text and icons heavier across MindNode, making it easier to read.Reduced MotionSimilar to iOS, MindNode uses beautiful and subtle animations to make the app experience more engaging and dynamic. Here's how showing the Outline looks in MindNode - the animation gives a subtle hint that it's possible to dismiss the Outline by swiping downwards.Depending on your needs these animations can be overwhelming. MindNode now respects the system-wide setting Reduced Motion and automatically adjusts to your preferences.Reduced TransparencyiOS creates the perception of depth by using transparency and blur effects to a high extent. While these effects look beautiful, it can be very distracting for some users. MindNode now respects the system-wide setting Reduced Transparency and applies it to its own transparency effects, in addition to the system-provided ones.Whether you are a developer or a user benefitting from these changes, we'd like to hear from you.How do you like those changes? Are there any areas you'd want additional improvements? Let us know, we are here to listen.- Matthias
