MGL Licensing has signed cards and stationery firm Portico as the first UK licensee for the Lily & Val brand.Portico showcased an extensive Lily & Val product line at Spring Fair 2015, spanning gift, stationery, calendars and greeting cards.Valerie McKeehan is the artist behind the Lily & Val brand and is already a leading name in the field of chalkboard art and each of McKeehan's designs is hand crafted."When we saw Valerie's work we just fell in love with it," said Portico's Simon Harrison."We work closely with her as she generates new artwork for Portico Designs, and have become increasingly impressed with her skills."Chalk Board art is very on-trend at the moment, and the brand's unique selling point is that Valerie creates all of her work on a chalk board, rather than manipulating fonts on a computer screen. We are so excited to be able to bring this talent to the British market."MGL Licensing executive Katie Sharp added: "We had a great reaction to Lily & Val.
