The film, 'Alchemize Your World', is the first part of a series of collaborations and creative projects for MANIAMANIA. For their first collaboration, MANIAMANIA paired up with New York talents Tara Subkoff and Dree Hemingway.Meditative and artfully crafted, Tara Subkoff's films question the everyday absurdities of life by isolating her characters in today's modern world. From Milla Jovovich online-shopping in a glass box in FUTURE/PERFECT (2013) which was shot during the 55th Venice Biennale and Chloe Sevigny dissent against the shining sun in Magic Hour (2013) shot for MOCAtv; Tara's newest short delivers us a beautiful Dree Hemingway running through the streets of New York City with a selfie stick.Probing a question of self-reflection on our culture, the designers ask "How do we maintain our spirit in an era of obsessive self-documentation and excessive over-sharing, and what is the ideal world we would alchemize?"
