MAN TRIPPING Blog Bitcoin Might be Down but These Shirts are Still Hot!

You know something is more than just a niche trend when people start wanting to wear it on their shirts as a fashion statement. I guess you could say this is geek chic but I totally love what the guys over at CryptoRack$ are doing. Common Bitcoin Terms To Help Understand Crypto Currency: Cryptocurrency - Bitcoin is the first and currently most popular form of cryptocurrency. Unlike traditional forms of trade using currency based on physical objects - gold coins, or government assurance - US Dollars and Euro, cryptocurrencies are typically decentralized and based on peer-to-peer (P2P) verification. This makes cryptocurrency inherently more secure and eliminates the ability for one specific authority to corrupt the value.  Satoshi Nakamoto - In 2009, Satoshi Nakamoto created what is now known as the "Genesis Block". This was the original block of 50 Bitcoins from which all other Bitcoins have been mined. Unlike any of the blocks that have come after, this Genesis Block included a message, "The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on bring of second bailout for banks" from the London Times article about banks being bailed out. It ultimately set the foundation for Bitcoin and crypto currency as not just an anonymous form of currency, but one that was designed to eliminate corruption by governments and banks. Block Chain - A Bitcoin block chain is a public record of all Bitcoin transactions. It's dated all the way back to the first one and can be downloaded and openly reviewed by anyone. You can also use a block explorer to review the block chain online. Bitcoin Mining - Unlike common currency that is "printed" by governments, Bitcoin is mined by using computer hardware to do complex mathematical calculations. Miners are receive transaction fees and are awarded Bitcoins for blocks that they are able to verify. Private Key - A private key is a the data that shoes you have access to Bitcoins in a specific wallet where the Bitcoins are stored. Essentially, this is your password to the account. Bitcoin Pool - Communities of Bitcoin miners sometimes come together and combine their computing power. HODL - This is an intentional misspelling of "holding" dating back to a typo in 2013 and is now used as a verb within the community to refer to someone that is holding on to their Bitcoin rather than spending it. With that bitcoin terms lesson out of the way, here's some of my favorites from CryptoRack$ including this Bitcoin T-Shirt and other products from their site ... I love this one because it's simple but instantly recognizable and to the point.  While not every person into Bitcoin is obsessed, it seems like way too many people are. I suppose if I had something that went from an oddity to worth thousands of dollars over the course of a few years I'd be obsessed too.
