They took the time to answer a few of my questions. Enjoy!Tell us a bit about you and your shop.Hi! We're Vital Industries - Brett, Crystal, and a Vital team of assistants. We chose Vital Industries because we wanted a name that was big enough to encompass all the materials and techniques we like to work with, and new arts we might pick up in the future!Vital began in 2007, when we took a local screen printing class. At first we printed at home, then grew into a small retail shop, and now have an awesome studio warehouse space in Denver, Colorado. We sell screen printed glassware, home goods, apparel, and accessories. We've also expanded into some embroidered items and even vinyl decals.What inspires you to create?We're inspired by - and strive to create - bold modern designs. Once you've seen our shop, you'd suspect we're really into bikes... and we are! For their inherently DIY spirit, their iconic shapes, and how they connect people and communities. We strive to express that love through our work. Bicycle silhouettes are our signature designs, and we've been thrilled to see how they resonate with our customers. We've taken the clean lines and bright colors from our bicycle glass line and extended that aesthetic into our other collections - nautical motifs, a typographic mixology glass collection, state silhouettes, and more.What's your favorite item in your shop? And why?It's super hard to choose a favorite product, but we're really into our gold mixology glasses... they're printed in actual 20k gold, and have a perfect hint of retro styling. What else...Craft is our community, and making is our life. We truly value sustainable sourcing and production, serving our community, and honing our craft. On the lighter side, keeping it fun (and a little weird) are at the center of everything Vital.
