Not long ago, I read an article recently by an established sports psychologist suggesting that visualization is overrated and hyped as a training tool. As a high performance athlete, coach, and specialist in optimal performance under stress, I disagree completely with this individual. In my view, visualization is not only underrated, it is greatly underappreciated in the field of human performance. So, is visualization importance to performance? Not just important, it's essential, particulary for those already at a competent level
