m2filmproductions.comChrissy and Jason are two of the most phenomenal people you will ever meet... and the beauty and fun of Charleston, South Carolina was the perfect setting for their incredibly lively wedding! The weekend began with everyone gathering together for the rehearsal dinner at James Island Yacht Club. With the sun setting over the Charleston Harbor, friends and family shared dinner, toasts, Jason's sports-themed groom cake, and a lovely slideshow with pictures from Chrissy and Jason's childhood, dating relationship, and engagement. Both of their families treated us with such gracious hospitality, and everyone we met was so full of life and personality! It was so great to film everyone's excitement for the wedding day ahead. In the morning we began filming with the guys hanging out and watching the soccer game at their hotel on the marina. Jason surprised everyone with customized groomsmen gifts and they all shared a toast before Jason read his letter and opened his present from Chrissy. Reading her sweet letter, Jason's face just lit up! Her present to him was a classy Louis Vuitton card holder, which Jason and all the groomsmen were very impressed with. After the guys finished their preparations, we made our way across the majestic Ravenel Bridge to the Cottages on Charleston Harbor to meet with Chrissy and the bridesmaids. With serene views of the harborfront beach in their backyard, the girls enjoyed a relaxing morning of preparations for the big day ahead. After hair and makeup, Chrissy gathered all the bridesmaids together for a special champagne toast, and then headed out to the back porch to read Jason's letter and open his present. While reading the letter, Chrissy was overcome with emotion, and with a view of the palmetto trees dancing in the wind, it was the most romantic scene! She opened his present to her, which was a gorgeous necklace showcasing her mom's precious stone, and went back inside to have her mom help her put it on. Such a sweet moment! Then Chrissy helped her flower girl get ready (and even let her try on her bridal shoes), and in return, the flower girl helped Chrissy with her dress! Chrissy's mom and two best friends joined in to help, and when they were finished, she looked absolutely stunning. Chrissy's dad then arrived at the cottage for their first look, and the two shared some tender moments filled with laughter and tears before leaving for the chapel. The ceremony was held at St. Luke's Chapel, located in the heart of Charleston's historic district. An intimate church set amongst a garden of azaleas and Spanish moss, it was a lovely place for Chrissy and Jason to exchange their vows. The pastor was Chrissy's friend from college, and he shared hilarious stories mixed with meaningful messages about marriage and profound readings from Scripture. During the sermon, he pointed out the fact that Chrissy and Jason are complete opposites, yet they have so much in common, making it easy to see how God brought them together to complete one another. As one of the bridesmaids said in her toast at the rehearsal dinner, their combination of openness in learning about each other and playfulness in their interactions with one another makes their relationship swell with joy!We continued on to the reception downtown at Cannon Green. A mixture of urban chic and classic Southern charm, this venue was easily one of the most remarkable spaces we have ever seen. Guests enjoyed drinks and hors d'oeuvres in the posh courtyard before the bridal party made their grand entrance. As the sun went down, Chrissy and Jason shared their romantic first dance, followed by emotional father-daughter and mother-son dances. The evening continued inside the banquet hall, where everyone was treated to a gourmet dinner before the party started. And boy, was it a party! The DJ rocked the house spinning beats all night long, and even had a playoff with one of the guests. Everyone got on the floor and had an all out, wild party with crazy dance moves and hilarious moments everywhere you looked! The evening wrapped up in the courtyard with a bubble exit for Chrissy and Jason... a magical end to the most spectacular wedding day ever!Congratulations Chrissy and Jason and thank you for the opportunity to not only film your beautiful wedding, but visit your amazing city! We had so much fun working with you two and meeting your wonderful families. We wish you the happiest times in life and a blessed future together!Created by M2 ProductionsRehearsal Dinner Venue: James Island Yacht ClubCeremony Venue: St. Luke's ChapelReception Venue: Cannon GreenLicensed Music from Audiosocket & The Music BedCast: M2 Productions
