On Instagram, there’s FOUR platforms: IGTV, Stories, Reels and your page. Use all of them to communicate your message. Instagram Reels particularly are getting really high reach at the moment. Use the Reels tools – in app. Get to know how reels work. Watch a load of reels and figure out what works – trending songs works well. Could you put your content to trending songs? Be creative. Post one a day and go for variety.2) Ensure you are doing a minimum of one post a day on both your Facebook and Instagram pages. For Stories, aim for at least three posts a day. You will get an increase in views if you post stories three times per day. TOP TIP If you use the in house tools on Stories – polls, Q and A’s, stickers – you’ll get much more reach on your stories.3) It’s all about video. Facebook algorithm will reward with reach any videos that your audience watches for more than one minute. Facebook will massively prioritise three minutes content or serialised content – but to begin with aim to get beyond the one minute mark with your videos. 4) For your 1 minute video, use a high impact title, state what’s coming up, tease what you’re going to cover and how it will help them, state you have something coming up at the end that they’re really going to love (tease) so that you drag them over the minute mark. Make sure the content backs up your title. State what’s coming in the video that it ‘may shock and surprise some people’…but don’t labour the point or make it too vacuous. Ultimately, the video should aim to add value and be authentic.5) To capture NEW followers (not engage with existing followers), you must start doing quick visual, disruptive, high impact 15-30 second videos on Facebook to attract new followers. These videos can be glitzier with gorgeous or interesting backgrounds and high impact quotes - take the topline concept in your nicheTo satiate existing followers do deeper, longer videos6) Turn your camera to portait, instead of landscape when you take your video. It will appear bigger in the feed so it will grab attention more easily7) Use Creative Studio (a tool on your Facebook page) to evaluate the engagement and reach of your videos. If one video does well organically then run it as an ad for your page. But don’t spend loads on ads to begin with. Test on a small budget to begin with and then scale up the successful videos. Creative Studio is brilliant for analyse your reach – there are metrics and analytics and graph of how many people have viewed you showing Followers versus non Followers.8) Running a series of content always does better than just one post. 15-30 second square vertical videos with surprising interrupting content and gorgeous backgrounds will help videos go viral. Hire a video expert to help you create these if this isnt your forte.9) To get new followers, why not do a video on Life Hacks (work smart, manage emotions, work life balance, how to run a business, insider secrets for example). Going outside of your niche will help you attract more people to your Facebook and Instagram.10) Use LIVE interviews on your page or use Webinars or Paid Live Events. Use Zoom or Stream Yard and invite guests on live interviews with you and make sure you tag the guest you are interviewing to reach more followers. Collaborate.
