It has more than a year since I last posted on my blog. So much has happened in this time, but I want to first explain why I stopped posting last year. I was working on a 365-day project where I both posted a picture and wrote a blog entry every day. I actually got all the way to day 124! Yay me! But I had a lot of personal stuff going on and actually ended up making some radical changes that included falling in love, moving from beautiful San Diego, and basically relocating and starting over again. Around this time, I stopped feeling like what I was posting was "authentic" enough and wasn't sure if what I had to say was worth being listened to. I decided to take some time to reevaluate where I was, what I wanted to say, and why I wanted to say it. And when I take time...I really take time....So...here I am today. It's been over a year. I am now living in the midwest, have a very exciting and challenging job, and am working on getting back to who I was meant to be. As I continued to evaluate and grow, it was time to pick up my camera again. I have never lost my passion and deep love for seeing something of great beauty in front of me, using my camera to capture it, and then to share with anyone else, or even to review and remember when I see it again. That is what I love about photography.The picture above happened one evening when I was hanging out with a good friend. We sat watching as the sun played across the tree in front of us. I jumped up with my phone and took this shot. At that moment, I was filled with such an incredible feeling of complete contentment and happiness. It reaffirmed what I wanted to do. I knew that I was back.Look out, no telling where we will go from here.Peace!!
