I love reading about King David. It is such an inspiring story of faith and of what God can and will do through a willing vessel. God called David a man after His own heart while David was still a young boy. You see God calls those things that aren't as though they are. God saw something in David. He saw past David's current circumstances - being a shepherd in the field up to his ankles in sheep "poopies" - He saw a king. And He sees something in you too. There is a quality of "queenliness" in every woman. We innately desire it. We see it in our daughters and granddaughters. They want to be princesses. They dress up as princesses, they admire all the Disney princesses. It is something inside of them that is not taught. Just as little boys make guns out of everything! It is something inside of them, the protector and warrior. When we play dress up, we are practicing to be queens. We need to walk in "queenliness." The word says, "He has made us kings and priests to His God and Father," Revelation 1:6. We have or will have a "queendom" to reign over. I have an infatuation with crowns. I love them! I have several in my house. I even wear them while doing chores, it is true. I wear one when I vacuum or do laundry, I even have a gardening crown. You see I need to be reminded that I am royalty. I can easily get bogged down in the day to day things like housekeeping, ugh. But I catch a glimpse of myself in that crown, and suddenly, my shoulders go back, I lift my head a little higher and I am reminded that I am royalty. "But I don't feel like a queen", you answer...well we walk by faith not by sight (feelings). It is not a matter of how you feel but how He sees you. It is who you are. It is time to rise to your calling and status of "queenship." Think like a queen and you will begin to act like a queen. Walk like a queen, speak like a queen, begin to see yourself as God sees you. Begin to speak words of life over yourself. The bible is full of precious promises and descriptive words to speak. Dig in and find out what it says about you. "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ", Philippians 1:6. He won't leave you hanging, He is faithful!
