LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors has finalized its merger with Lanaux & Felger CPAs of Houma.
The Metairie-based firm announced the merger in October and said Friday that the two have consolidated in a new location at 304 Corporate Drive in Houma.
Lanaux & Felger principals Thomas Lanaux and Mark Felger are assuming key leadership roles as directors in LaPorte, and the combined Houma firms will operate as LaPorte CPAs & Business Advisors, according to a news release.
The merger means LaPorte will now have a total staff of over 180 employees and revenues in excess of $28 million. LaPorte serves clients from five offices in Houma, Metairie, Baton Rouge, Covington and Houston.
Leaders in both companies said the merger will help enhance services in an accounting industry that is facing industry and regulatory changes.
It’s the second Houma company that has merged with LaPorte over the last two years.
