"Ten-Frame Mathematics" is an idea so new, and yet so grounded in principle, that it merits discussion through a regular newsletter "column" such as this. In this first "issue" of KP® Mathematics Insights, we begin the topic of Ten-Frame Mathematics at the very beginning --- with the recent invention of KP® Ten-Frame Tiles.Interestingly enough, it is KP® Ten-Frame Tiles that prompted the development of Ten-Frame Mathematics, an instructional approach that brings every base ten concept and skill, for both whole numbers and decimals, within the sphere of the ten-frame, the simplest representation of our number system's organization-by-magnitudes-of-10.
