Get Creative with Space! Forget about tip #2 during this stage of the planning. Thinking about how much things will cost is a sure-fire way to allow the left brain to take over and shut down your creative flow. Take a quick break, go for a walk and take time to literally smell the roses or at least some essential oils then listen to some music. Pull out your colored pencils and draw. Engage your five senses and tap into your imagination to help switch to your right brain for a different perspective. Think about the space you have to work with then start each thought with “What if …” Whether you are renting a venue, hosting an event at your office, or designing a virtual experience and landing page, imagine the ways you can transform the space you have and how people will move and interact with it. Does your event or meeting have a theme and how can you use scenic or décor to relay or highlight it? Think about that beautiful tree in the courtyard that could frame your dancefloor, or how inspiring it might be for your conference attendees if the speaker platform was in front of a gorgeous view of the city. What are the different ways you can add banners, logos and brand your digital platform?
