Knowledge-Driven International Development Blog KM Impact unConference: Keynote presentations day 2

Flag for highlight: 0The second day of the KM Impact unConference opened with 2 excellent keynote presentations which provided great food for thoughts to participant - in the room as well as on line through the webinar and Twitter stream. Mike Powell explained how the IKM Emergent Programme is exploring the relationship between knowledges, development and management. Development has to be integrated directly with knowledge and learning methods. You cannot have progress without knowledge of the problem through and through. Chris Addison and Luz Marina Alvare from IFPRI presented their experience in analysing qualitatitive and quantitive data to understand traffic to the website. Chris and Luz Marina introduced their concept of webmarketeers, indicating how much of the traffic to the main IFPRI site comes form other webstes and social media platforms. It is therefore important that your content is open and can easily be used and embedded on other publishing platforms.Stacey Young from USAID moderated the lively discussion that followed the 2 presentations. Questions come in from the audience as well as from the participants attending the webinar.A full recording of the session is available at this link Related posts:IKM Emergent programme - Exploring the relationship between knowledges, development, managementCrowdMarketeers: Quantity, Quality and ConsequencesFree tag: kmimpactContent Type: Blog entryPathSection2: blogPathSection1: kmic
