I created this video in October 2005 from a short clip of video feedback I recorded with the digital camera I was using at the time. I slowed the clip down several times, so that the motion is very slow and gradual, then edited out the bits that didn't fit. Of course, this affected the audio as well, so what was originally room ambience (with the occasional sound of the autofocus) became a drone. The title, Sureru, is a Japanese word that refers to something being rubbed, scraped, or worn away. Since erosion usually occurs over a very long period of time, I thought this was an appropriate title, given the slowness with which the action (as such) unfolds. This video is intended as more of a background piece, or perhaps for use in some form of meditation.Cast: Kevin J.
