I was lucky enough to have four Cyclones at my home for a few days. I thought I'd take this opportunity to film them in action. Instead of the usual promo spot, I decided to use the song "Heroin Girl" from one of my former clients, Everclear. I spoke to Art, the leader of Everclear, and he gave me his blessing. Picking Everclear was significant to me. I was trying to land this gig while living in LA. At that time I only had a pager so I waited at a pay phone at Ralph's grocery store for Art to call me. One of the first things I said to him was Heroin Girl was one of my favorite songs. Needless to say, I got the gig and was with the band until their initial breakup. Everclear was my first multi-platinum act and was responsible for me doing what I do today. This video featuring The Cyclone fixture is my personal tribute to one of my favorite bands.
