Issue Stand Blog Difference between digital and paper subscriptions

There were fair amount of confusion when our publishers first found out about digital subscriptions. Although they share the name with paper ones, they have different approach to content distribution.Lets say that a monthly issued magazine have 24 issues since January 2011 until December 2012.In print, when reader buys annual subscription on 1st of January 2013, he/she would be entitled to 12 issues starting from January until December 2013. After this time, those issues would be still in reader's possession. With digital subscriptions when user buys annual subscription, he/she would have access to all the issues in this magazines, no matter if they were published before or after subscription started. But when the subscription expires, then user can no longer access those issues. Available are only the issues purchased outside subscription. As you can see, main difference is that paper subscriptions can't really "revoke access" to already received issues. In digital publishing we have the power to remove all content which wasn't paid for.Wojtek SiudzinskiFounder & CEO of Issue Stand.I'm here to help, don't hesitate to contact me personally.
