Photographers, Ruben Robles and Aurora Simpson present an interesting perspective of people and places we call home. The exhibition "FRAMING THE BASIN" includes a diverse portrait collection of the people in our community and a beautiful exploration of the Basin's landscape in dynamic color and black and white photographs. One of our goals in this project is to share our vision of how professional photographers can provide a client with a personal experience that will produce quality images and works of art that can be enjoyed for years to come. Ruben emphasizes, "the importance of skills and knowledge professional photographers have gained over the course of many years." A true professional has gained valuable skills in lighting, camera control and developed a creative eye for composition and style through years of refinement of this art form. "Portrait photographers in particular, have also acquired an ability to easily build a rapport with their clients. Being able to share common experiences and yet acknowledging individuals unique experiences is essential."Another goal of this project is to show the everyday beauty and intrigue of our Great Basin. This exhibition includes an intricate exploration of the Basin's diverse landscape in dynamic color and black and white photography. Professionally executed photo prints are the best way to showcase these dynamic photographs and create a tangible piece of time, and art that can be shared and cherished for a lifetime. "FRAMING THE BASIN" is a beautiful collection of photographic art that reflects the dynamic and diverse beauty of our surroundings that are indeed worth framing.
