HYPERLABS Blog Multithreading comes to XTDR

We're very pleased to announce the release of XTDR Version 2.5, the first HYPERLABS software to feature multi-threaded performance. Now, all data acquisition and calibration routines in the software are run in the background.Multithreading improves many aspects of the XTDR experience, but we thought we'd highlight the biggest changes.Most importantly, the user interface is far more responsive. Clicking controls and moving the cursors no longer impacts acquisition speed or frequency, or vice versa. And averaging multiple (up to 32) waveforms doesn't require the user to disable automatic acquisition in Version 2.5.We've also been able to implement better calibration procedures. Because calibration runs in the background in Version 2.5, we've been able to integrate it more tightly in the software. Internal recalibration now happens seamlessly and automatically every 30 seconds in auto-acquire mode. In manual acquisition mode, the software recalibrates when necessary without any user input.XTDR Version 2.5 is available immediately on our website to all current users of HYPERLABS instruments, and it will ship with all new orders.So get it today and let us know what you think.
