HearMeOut Ltd (ASX:HMO) has reached a critical milestone for its HearMeOut app, reaching the top 50 on the Apple App Store for the highly competitive social network category. The HearMeOut app achieved a position inside the top 50 over the weekend in the Apple App Store in the U.S., Canada and Australia. Importantly, it is not common for a company of this size to reach such a high ranking, competing with Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, WeChat, Skype, etc. The Israel-based company has built a voice-based social media platform that transforms the way people engage with and consume social media. The HearMeOut app lets people express their authentic voice and put their unique signature on social media interactions. HearMeOut enables users to share and listen to 42-second audio posts through the platform's native feed or on other social networks. Achieving a ranking inside the top 50 means that increased App Store visibility is now available to HearMeOut, which can create organic traffic for the app. Interestingly, the company's iOS and Android apps were recently approved by Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) to be used in its cars in Ford's biggest market, the U.S. The company had also joined the SmartDeviceLink (SDL) global platform, entering the industry's largest group of automakers looking to enhance the driving experience through unique connected apps. The connected car market is expected to grow to €113 billion by 2020 - enabling new in-vehicle services and automated driving capabilities. HearMeOut's shares closed circa 11% higher on Monday, at $0.155.
