Being part of Gamescom, and of Indigo, was an overwhelming experience - especially for our newcomer Jasper who watched the happy chaos with a puzzled wonder and tried to process all the sensory input. After intense preparation and some help (thanks Yorick from Sonic Picnic!) we presented our first 'demo'. Under guidance of our Team Lead Zoot, the team actually pulled it off!Responses to our first playable build (build = a developers version) were exceeding our hopes; it worked. The game design worked, the code worked, the audio worked, the art worked, the look and feel worked. After someone stepped behind the arcade booth, put on the headphones and mastered the controls, they were - with lack of a better word - hypnotized.Talking with players, press and other developers gave us an overload of notes, tips and feedback. For which we are grateful. The vibe in the Holland Pavilion was extremely positive and supportive. The way Dutch Game Garden organized and accommodated the young developers in the Holland Pavilion was quite extraordinary. The quality of games on show there was really high and we would like to point gamers to these young (Dutch) studios: Vogelsap and Digital Dreams, for they are both working on really special games. As are we. We think, we hope. We are proud of what we managed to achieve until now. Now back to work, because we have a lot of stuff to polish and improve, follow-up and panic about. :)Thanks to everyone there (and everyone elsewhere, thinking of us).Yours truly, the Team of Last Inua
