Gitter: Gitter communes with Index for funding

GitHub developer community chat platform Gitter has raised £1.45m in a seed funding round, led by Index Ventures, along with Faber Ventures, Nexus Ventures and Kima Ventures. London-based Gitter was co-founded in 2013 by former Skype product manager, Mike Bartlett, and software engineer, Andrew Newdigate. Gitter offers unlimited public and private chatrooms is free for up to 25 users per private chatroom else $5 p.u.p.m., so we see this as an enterprise perhaps more 'for the greater good'! Fair enough.
