Here is your monthly news from Gentec-EO in July 2024.
New threaded accessories
We recently introduced new adaptors:
SA-19
B3-SM1
FOCUS-SM2
SM2-SM1
We are adding these options to simplify the choice of fiber optics adaptors and give our customers more flexibility when integrating their power meters in optical setups. Many of our accessories are SM1-threaded: FOA-FULL fiber holders, ND filters, UG11, and IR filters. Having adaptors to convert the detector's thread to SM1 allows customers to use them all. It also opens up the possibility of using third-party optomechanics which often use that thread.
NEW thread for UP25
Aiming in that same direction, we have changed the thread on UP25 detectors to SM1 directly, instead of the rare 1''1/16 -28 thread that was previously used. To know which thread is on a UP25 unit, you can check the serial number:
Legacy version (1''1/16 -28): S/N smaller than 340900
New version (SM1, 1.035"-40): S/N above 340900
Larger aperture for UP-W family
The popular UP50-W family of power detectors with extremely high damage thresholds are now replaced by a new version with even larger aperture: UP55-W series. The only change in specifications is the aperture size, allowing for larger beams.
User manual and software update
UP series user manual was updated to version 6.6
