Foxcrete Blog Slate Concrete Pool Deck by Foxcrete Designs in Summerdale, Alabama

WOW...It has been awhile since my last blog! Sorry about that! I suppose lifeMarriage, children and all the above has put the blog on the back burner! Well, lets jump straight into it! The last couple years, last yearin particular, we have grew tremendously as a company and acquired somegreat contacts in the process! The project I am highlighting in this blog is a Stamped Concrete Pool Deck for James Tindle Pools. Great company tobusiness with and is a honest pool builder with integrity. Which, is whywe have accepted their business with open arms. This Vinyl Liner Pool isinstalled in Summerdale, Alabama. The pool was spec'd out to have Stegmeier Forms. Which is a special foam form board that allows you to have various shaped Concrete Coping.The colors used in this project were provided by Alabama Pigment Company.Dove Grey Integral Color, and Pewter Powder Release. A common question orconcern with any colored concrete is after the initial placement. In mostcases the concrete is darker and not the color they were wanting from thecolor chart; Do not panic! This is very normal! As I am sure you have seenwith and driveway or patio, they turn very light and in some cases almostwhite! Well colored concrete goes through the same stages. After 45 days, the color will "Bleach" out to the color closer to the provided Chart. This is especially important when pouring grey concrete Pool Decks Such as the one featured in this blog. It is initially very hot until the colorbleaches out in 45 days. After placing and stamping, the next process is to install the Cure and Seal. This seals the surface and allows the surface to be cleaned easily, make the color POP, and allow the concrete to slowly cure. It works in a similar manor as watering your concrete slab! I am proud to say thisproject turned out very nice and I am anxious to see it fully cured!Thank you to James Tindle for inviting us out on this project!
