Newsletter: Fall 2014 Fall for Flow Meters at Flows.comBy Michelle Farrell There's a lot of exciting things happening at Flows.Com! This newsletter will serve to announce several new products that we're very excited about. Fuel Meters The cooler weather is upon us and typically this is when we see a spike in sales for our Digital Fuel Meters. As always we'll be stocking up on our dependable Economy Digital Fuel Meter from Assured Automation. This meter can be installed in-line or at the nozzle and gives reliable totals as well as it offers a resettable batch total. It runs on 2 AAA batteries which typically give a years' worth of use. We're also excited about a relatively new product that we've market tested with some very positive feedback. The MPFM100 Digital Fluid Meter is a very versatile meter that can measure cold water, diesel, urea, kerosene, certain chemicals, and gasoline. The MPFM100's extensive features include the flexibility to report data in gallons, liters, pints, and quarts and a resettable batch total and lifetime total which make it an effective tool in a number of applications. One of the MPFM100's most popular features is the fact that it also offers a flow rate measurement (gallons/minute) and can be field calibrated to make sure you're getting the most accurate results. Until now, The MPFM100 has only been offered with the British designation of numerals; with commas instead of a period to indicate the separation of 1's to 10th's. We expect to stock the US version as of mid to late November. Residential Water Usage System We've all heard about the major drought the Western United States is currently experiencing. To make it easier for residents of California, Nevada and other effected areas, Flows.Com has introduced a simple home water metering system. The Residential Water Usage systemconsists of a pulse water meter, available in economical plastic or lead free brass, and an LCD Digital Display with optional mounting bracket This system would allow a home owner to have more control over their water use and subsequent bill, by making their water use data accessible to them. The Display has a button that would allow home owners to reset the total on a monthly basis which avoids messy monthly water log calculations. Commercial property owners can also disable this feature and lock out tenants from potentially tampering with usage totals. This system is also convenient for any home water metering application where there is very little space at the installation point or where the meter's face cannot be easily read. The meter comes with 4.5' of pulse cable and can be extended up to 2000' (additional Thermostat wire not included). Discontinued Product The MT Batch meter will be discontinued as of Jan 1, 2015We've been informed by Bermad, the manufacturer of our MT Batch Meter, that they are discontinuing this product. We will not be able to place any new orders as of Nov. 15th, 2015 and likely will have limited stock from now up to the end of the year. Please contact us with any questions or concerns regarding this product.
