FloShield: Startup raises $11.7M to make laparoscopic procedures clearer

Minimally Invasive Devices has raised $11.7 million to back its FloShield laparoscopic visualization system. The system is designed to fit onto an existing laparoscope, either traditional or robotic, and use air flow to keep the field of vision clear during procedures.
