Hi everyone! I haven't spoken to you in a long time and that's because I've moved miles away and am now living in Italy for a semester! It's taken a lot to adjust to living in this small town, but I'm starting to really like it here. If you want to read more about my adventures, you can subscribe to my newsletter Black Girl Abroad. In other exciting news, today I have someone special guest posting for Excuse Denied! This is Excuse Denied's first collaborative post and I couldn't be more thrilled. Jabari is someone who I have always thought has been uber fashionable, so when he came to me with the idea of collaborating, I couldn't say no. This past week, he attended New York Fashion Week Men's and is bringing Excuse Denied readers an inside look at the shows. Welcome, Jabari!COACH / We all know that in the past 3 years Coach has had a major turn around in its Menswear. As I entered the Coach headquarters, I was greeted by a receptionist and asked to indulge in beverages and Hors d'oeuvres. There it was... Coach's black Lamb skin shearling jacket; the three thousand dollar coat was staring me in the face. Down to the styling of Coach's FW 16 presentation, and the merchandising of the showroom Coach definitely didn't set out to disappoint. Check out pictures below. KENNETH NING / For every new season that approaches I think it's important that a designer keeps it fresh and that's exactly what Kenneth Ning did in his F/W 16' NYFWMen's presentation. With the same aesthetic but different silhouettes and the same strong presence but a different standpoint. Ning also touched on the flared trouser pant trend and topped off with silk and cotton material shirts. The location for the showing was phenomenal with natural light shining through, as the models were angled standing on the platform PERFECTLY. I'm really excited to see what Kenneth Ning has in store for his SS16 collection. That's all for today, folks! Thank you to Jabari for contributing. Head on over to Jabari's instagram for more fashion week photos and as well as pictures from behind-the-scenes.
