A number of years ago, Exacter began exploring the dynamics of insulator flashover to gain greater understanding of power outage causation. After spending much time in The Ohio State University conducting testing and experiments with two leading electrical scientists, a number of discoveries were made. We would like to share them with you in this video. It is broken into 8 sections -- totaling 12 minutes. We hope this provides new and deeper insights into insulator flashover, the impact of partial discharge (pd), scintilation, and the cause of many unknown outages.
