At Emerald Associates, we've worked with many clients who've had to migrate standalone databases over to a shared environment in Primavera P6. One of the struggles they often face is getting their EPS structures and global data out of their standalones and into their new Cloud environments, especially when their databases are in a SQLite format. The team at Emerald has added new functionality into the P6-Loader to make this process go more smoothly: the ability to convert SQLite files to Excel files. This means that when you have the P6-Loader installed on your new database, you can export your EPS structure, OBS structure, Resource Dictionary, and much more from your old databases, and then easily import them into your new environment. No more manually recreating your global structures and dictionaries! Here's how it works, in two simple steps:Step 1 - Upload your .db file into the new "Convert XML and XER" section of the P6-Loader, and select the information you want brought into the Excel file:Step 2 - Let the P6-Loader run.For more information on the P6-Loader, please visit our P6-Loader page or see our brochure.AuthorValerie Nicholson, B.A. - Implementation Specialist
