Dvm Systems: Greeley ag-tech company DVM raises $750,000 in private offering

GREELEY - Ag-tech company DVM Systems LLC has raised $750,000 in private-equity financing, options and warrants. The Greeley-based company, which develops automatic health-monitoring systems for cows, detailed the financing in a Regulation D filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Feb. 1. A portion of the funds - $140,740 will be used to pay back loans made by the originators of the company, according to the filing. DVM's chief executive, Kevin Wild, could not be reached for comment. DVM uses a system developed by Boulder-based Phase IV Engineering Inc. The Phase IV monitoring system automatically monitors each dairy cow's temperature and identification as it enters the milking parlor, two to three times per day, according to the Phase IV website. A tiny passive RFID - radio-frequency-identification - sensor provides dairy operators with a 24- to 48-hour advance notice of illness or outbreaks before typical signs of illness appear, thus reducing treatment costs and death rates. DVM is the exclusive distributor of the Phase IV system. DVM is headquartered at 3115 35th Ave. in Greeley. The post Greeley ag-tech company DVM raises $750,000 in private offering appeared first on BizWest.
