The Jefferson County Search Dog Association thanked Drone Systems for its USAR assistance in the recent Louisville, KY, disaster simulation, discussed in more detail here. "Jefferson County Search Dog Association (JCSDA) would like to thank Drone Systems for attending USAR training with our agency on Saturday and using their Drone to provide aerial recon images of our "mock disaster" site. The images produced by the remote control drone provided us with knowledge of areas of the site that we would not be able to obtain otherwise. While this technology has many applications, it is hugely beneficial [for] situational awareness, particularly in a disaster event resulting in an extensive debris field. We were pleased to work with Bruce Dawson and Joel Embry and greatly appreciated their valuable help. Thank you very much [for] helping us help others." -Col. Paul Dixon & UffdaWe thank JCSDA for allowing us to partner with them in what proved to be a valuable USAR exercise.Author: Drone Systems
