Dome Financial Group Blog Umm, how do I work out what my financial goals are?

When trying to work out what your financial goals, ask yourself this question:What matters most to you?Take a moment to truly think about your answer. Jot down what first comes to your mind, ask your partner the same question, and maybe do a brainstorm of all the things that immediately pop out!What are your dreams? What are your life aspirations?These simple but thought provoking questions may just help you to uncover what your real financial goals are, and give you the clarity and the direction you need to make them come true!Defining your goalsLet's look at some of the questions that will tease your thoughts into defining, clarifying and prioritising your life goals.What are you happy about your current situation?What are you unhappy about?What life events or milestone achievements would make you happy?What life events would you like to avoid?What does the future look like for you?What do you imagine yourself doing?Think about all the things in life you would like to do.What are the things you would like to reach or fulfil?What are your career aspirations? Are you wishing for a career change? Do you want to work part-time rather than full-time?What type of lifestyle would you like? What are the different activities you would like to do?Do you want to start a family? Do you want to spend more time with the family?Do you want to travel? Do you want to live overseas for awhile? Do you want to take your family around the world?Do you dream of becoming a business owner? What are your entrepreneurial dreams?What stands out the most for you?What would you like to be remembered for?Goals are based on what you value, what you believe in, and what makes you happy!If money and time was no object, what would you like to achieve?Would you like to support your children or family members financially? Would you like to give your children private school education?Would you like to support the important causes you care about?Do you value giving back or helping others in need? Do you see yourself volunteering?How would you influence or lead others around you?
