For years....in fact ever since there has been diving on Phi Phi there has been no Hyperbaric Chamber. So if there is any suspected Diving Injury such as DCS (Decompression Sickness) the diver has to be evacuated by speedboat from Phi Phi to Phuket. Although during the high season this is usually very easy, when it is the low season there can be big waves as high as 3m, strong winds and torrential rain.
