Yesterday at the Ignite conference Microsoft gave the first info on the new version of SharePoint, the 2016. First, as you can see from the picture, they confirmed periods of release of the public beta (Q4 of 2015) and of the stable version (Q2 2016). Along with this confirmation, we have been given information about the timing of the release of updates for both the OnPremise SharePoint 2016 and Office 365. It has not changed much compared to the situation we had until now. I would say that they consolidated the situation.
