Mobile is taking over the internet (but you already you knew that) According to Comscore mobile traffic is up to 64.3% of online traffic in December of 2013. In addition mobile traffic is becoming a large portion of all the major players; Google, Facebook, Amazon, Ebay and Twitter. However, not many companies are following the trend with their own mobile apps or responsive mobile design. Only 6% of the top 100 of fortune 500 companies comply Google's mobile requirements. This could spell disaster once Google finishes updating their algorithm to include mobile design as a factor in SEO. Many of these top 100 could see themselves down graded in the search results.You don't have to look far too see why Google is changing their policy. Based on their own survey they found that 72% of mobile users find it important for a website to be mobile friendly; 67% of users are more likely to buy or use the products from friendly mobile sites and 61% are more likely to leave a non mobile site.
