In this week's Connected Community video, Jeff shares how to play Sevens, a card game, using one deck of cards including the Jokers.To help us stay connected during these times, we present Connected Community - fun videos made by you and your neighbors.Number of players: 4+Rules:* Deal out the entire deck, including Jokers, to the players. Some players may have more cards than others.* The person who has the 7 of Spades starts the game. Moving clockwise, players must play off the 7 of Spades in oder. i.e. Can put down a 7 in another suite or put down the 8 of Spades or 6 of Spades.* If a player is unable to play a card, they have to ask for a card from the person on their right and then loose a turn.* Jokers are wild cards and can be used for any card. If a Joker is used for a card, that card is no longer payable (try to get rid of it by giving to another player!)* All cards must be played off the Spades. i.e. If all the 7s are down but the Spades down are only cards 5, 6, 7, 8, you cannot put down a 4 of Diamonds until the 4 of Spades is down.* The player who gets rid of all their cards first ends the round.* After 7 rounds, the person with the LOWEST score wins!Scoring:* Numbered cards: 5 points each* Face cards: 10 points each* Aces: 15 points each* Jokers or card that a Joker was used for: 50 pointsCard order for each suite goes lowest to highest: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace.Tags: Darien Library, Darien, Connected Community, Library, Darien CT, How to Play, Sevens, Card Game and Card Game Tutorial
