Good Afternoon DLM Customers!There are a few common issues that our customers call in and report to us that have simple fixes you can apply on site. Here is one. :)THE ISSUEOne of those common issues is people don't have any new voicemails, but the message light is on saying they do. Before I explain how to fix it, let me explain how and why this happens.Say we have extension 101 and extension 107. Extension 101 dials 1-0-7 then hits the message button in hopes of being put directly into 107's voicemail or possibly checking the voicemails on that phone. Dialing an extension and hitting the message button will not do either of those things, it will however turn the message light on and set up a "call back" so when 107 hits the message button to check what they think is a new message, all it does is call back to 101 to fulfill the call back.That's how it gets turned on, now let's discuss how to turn it off.THE RESOLUTIONThere are three ways this light can be turned off. Keep in mind it can be lit up to 8 times, so you could have 8 different notifications to get rid of.Option 1: With the handset in the cradle and WITHOUT hitting speaker phone (so leaving the phone completely inactive) press the message button then look at the display. This will show you what extension lit your light and also give the option the EXIT or CLEAR. By pressing CLEAR, this will clear out the light.Option 2: Pick up the handset, press the message button. This will immediately call back to the extension that lit your light. Once they pick up and answer the call, that will also clear out the lightOption 3: ++MAINLY USED ON PHONES WITH OUT DISPLAYS++ Press the "INTERCOM" button (this should turn the light on the intercom button to green) then dial *700 plus the extension number that you wish to turn the light off) so, in the case of extension 101 and 107, for 107 to turn off their message light they would pressIntercom *700107 you will then hear a confirmation beep.
