For Forwarding outside the system you must make sure your phone system has the appropriate software version to perform this function and that your phone lines (telephone numbers) have Call Forwarding provisioned on the lines from the dial tone provider. For KX-TDA/KX-TDE/KX-NCP Phone system types: To program a phone to forward to an offsite number please follow the following steps 1. Press the program button 2. Press the fwd/dnd button 3. Scroll through options 50-53 to select what calls you want to forward (50. will forward extension calls and outside calls that are coming in. 51. Will forward only outside calls coming in 52. Will only forward calls from other extension and 53 will forward all calls during a certain time frame.) 4. Once you have selected what you would like to forward, press the enter button 5. This will give you another list of options as far as when you want to forward calls or under what circumstance. Fwd b/na- busy / no answer this will forward calls weather the callers gets a busy or doesn't get an answer Fwd N/A- forward calls when the call rings to the desk but is not answered. Fwd busy - forward calls when person is already on another call Fwd all - all calls will be forwarded without ringing desk phone Do not Disturb- will give callers a busy (this will not forward calls) 6. Once you have selected the option you would like to forward under enter the number you want things forwarded too. (keep in mind to enter the number exactly as you would dial it from your phone. So if you dial 9 then 1 that's how the number has to be programmed) Once the number is in the display press enter.
