I've always loved this song "Wonderful" by Tama Waipara, a singer /songwriter from New Zealand. I couldn't find the lyrics so I took a chance and wrote him through Facebook. He graciously provided me with lyrics and some of the chords I couldn't figure out. I performed the song on camera live in the studio, playing a Squire Bass VI along with some drums I put together in Superior Drummer. Then I added backing vocals and an acoustic guitar part. The initial performance took me 20 takes to get right!Gear UsedFender / Squire Bass VI (6 string bass tuned like a guitar)Taylor 714CE GuitarAston Origin microphone.Superior DrummerSony FS5 camera (shot in 4K)Lyrics:Missed a golden opportunity to see the world and all it could beStarted out on shaky ground, I lost my feet and they have yet to be foundThe sun was bright today, he like you has gone his own way.It could have beenIt could have beenIt could have been wonderfulIt could have beenIt could have beenIt could have been wonderful ah....Looking forwards not as hard as looking back and mourning what's once hadStill I think back on the beauty of not knowing what was coming and I feel glad(Feels like magic - feels like magic)The sun was bright today, he like you has gone his own way.It could have beenIt could have beenIt could have been wonderfulIt could have beenIt could have beenIt could have been wonderful ah....It could have beenIt could have been (Feels like magic and I'm moving on - moving on)It could have been wonderfulIt could have beenIt could have been (Feels like magic and I'm moving on - moving on)It could have been wonderful ah....Cast: Chad JohnsonTags: cover, tama waipara, wonderful, chad johnson, squire, bass vi, taylor, aston, origin, 714ce, sony, superior drummer, fender, 4k, fs5, color finale, videographer, humboldt, eureka and arcata
