During our technical test, we found out we had big performance issues. Many people were barely able to run the game. This called for great action from our side, as explained in this post. Therefore we decided to take this matter seriously. We went to our neighboring game company, Split Polygon. They are making a space game where you can build your own space ship. The game is called Interstellar Rift.We asked them: "Do you have a terrible laptop for us to test our game on?"And they said: "Sure! This laptop is just able to run our game on 320x240 pixels.""Great!"The laptop is a 4 years old laptop with a HD Graphic 3000 graphics card. According to our statistics it is the worst mainstream graphics cards our users are using. This is how it looks like:It was slooow! Our game was running on 10 fps with only 1 curve being drawn. But our programmers steadily made progress and finally they could bring the framerate up to...60 fps is reached when you play with 1 curve only. When you play with 8 players the framerate still dips till 40 fps. Nevertheless, this is a very workable start from where we can keep on improving. Most importantly, almost all of our players will be able to enjoy the new Curve Fever. And that is great news, of course!Read this next: Will Curve Fever 3 have rankings?Tags: curve fever 3performancesplit
