For the last 2 months, I've been studying at G42, a training and leadership academy located in Southern Spain. Being in Spain has given me a break from the American Culture, a slow down of life in many ways. It was there that I learned about legacy and inheritance, two important things I want to carry out while living on Earth. Generations before us have given us an inheritance and legacy to not just take with pride & honor, but to expand it for future generations. Inheritance and legacy unexpanded is lost. Then a new generation has to come along and start over. So as I understood the big picture of all this, the more I realized the desire in my heart to start a film & media school in Africa was not about fulfilling something in my life time, but establishing a firm foundation that I can pass on to future generations. Three days ago I took a solo flight from Spain to Uganda, to start my hunt in establishing a new legacy in Africa. It's been an amazing eye opening experience talking with different Africans that I am honored to call my friends. They have an amazing spirit to them, with a sense of joy and hope that is so hard to find back in the states. With their spirit also comes creativity.. something that hasn't been captured to its full potential. I know once we plant our foundation in Africa and start teaching the African people to be creative and expressive by using media and film, that I will not only have a new legacy & inheritance left for my children, and my children's children... but a new legacy & inheritance for the people of Africa. -Brian
