Cool Components Blog LED strips - Brand New and Shinier than Ever

We absolutely love LED strips, they're great! So you can guess how very excited we are with two brand new types of LED strip!The first is a replacement for our old 32 RGB LED/m strips. These now have a whopping 60 RGB LEDs per meter and are actually cheaper! This miracle has been performed by combining the RBG LED and the addressable LED driver onto a single die that's the same size as the old RGB LEDs. These are all mounted onto a flexible black PCB and sealed in a sticky back, weatherproof sheath. There are also solderable pads either side of each LED so it can be cut as small as you need and JST connectors on each end so they can be chained together!Next up on the block are these 20 RGB LED pixel strings. Each pixel, of four RGB LEDs, is individually addressable with 8-bit RGB values. These are perfect for making large displays or installations. They've got a screw hole in the centre and two holes on the side so it's dead easy to mount them to anything, wood, walls, plaster, people. And did we mention that they're really bright, there's four LEDs on each pixel and they have a combined power of 1.5W!
