My seven year old son and I sat on the runway, minutes from take off. He asked me if I knew how airplanes fly. Well, of course I do.... The engines... uh...You see, the wings, they uhm..... After letting me struggle for a bit, he explained. Wind flows over the top of the wing more quickly than the bottom, creating a pressure change, which causes an uplift. Thank you, Colin.
