Recently a national survey was performed which showed that members of legislative bodies, shockingly, were unaware of the most basic tenets of our governmental system, including provisions of Federal and State Constitutions. This has become painfully obvious recently by the antics of State Senator Timothy Grendell who wishes to "privatize" Ohio's workers' compensation system. In other words, instead of Ohio's workers' compensation system being operated by Ohio's state government, it would be operated by private insurance companies and thereby "keep the costs down" according to Grendell.read more
