All of our slack loop control systems include a feature called 'Offset'. What offset does is explained in our manuals. I'll reiterate the basics here, but add some notes as to its judicious use. Normally, the control signal created by the loop control varies linearly from the bottom of the control range to the near limit. With offset, there is a discontinuity in the signal at the low limit.
