COBHAM Sports smashed Poole Borough 6-0 at Turlin Moor as they look to secure second place in the Dorset Premier League. The visitors looked sharp from the first whistle, and opened the scoring inside two minutes, Mike Trim finding Charlie Harries, who finished well from six yards. Josh Toop had a goal ruled out for Cobham for offside after he got on the end of a brilliant Josh Buck cross, but four minutes later Harries got his second, firing home on the turn after being fed by Toop. Cobham were comfortable and on top, but they spurned some good chances before the interval, Toop going closest as his shot was saved with six minutes left of the first half. But there was an immediate breakthrough in the second half, Alex Borges scoring Cobham's third. Joe Wood was causing Borough problems and he was involved in the visitor's fourth goal, his goal bound header saved into the path of Toop who stabbed home. Wood got himself on the scoresheet in the 53rd minute to take the lead to five, before Kingsley Eze-Sunday saw a shot saved, before Harries put the rebound wide. Harries shot over the bar twice before he claimed his hattrick in the 79th minute, the first to react after an Eze-Sunday effort was diverted into his path. That completed the scoring as Cobham saw out a 6-0 win, with Jacob Deakin keeping his 12th clean sheet of the season.
