Redesigned Graphic Design Room Coastal Sign has been in the process of utilizing the space and things around us to capture creativity and the possibilities that lie in just one spot. One room that was suffering was our graphic design room, so we decided it was time to take initiative and get creative! When we started working on this project, we knew we wanted some type of tree to surround the walls of the room, and what better tree than a Cherry Blossom. We incorporated the mountains in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, in Hunan, China. They were hand drawn from a photograph by one of our very own graphic designers. Once the design was completed, we printed it to a removable wall vinyl, and laminated it in a matte finish. For a fun installation note, it was installed in ONE piece! We also had some bare wood desks that we knew we wanted to finish, but we were not sure how. So we decided to hand stain them with a grey-wash, and stencil branches from the vector art that was originally made for the walls.
