Click Security: Alert Logic Buys Click Security

Houston-based Alert Logic, a provider of cloud-based security software, said on Friday that it has acquired Austin-based Click Security. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to Alert Logic, it will use the acquisition to bolster its security analytics and threat detection software, and also help add additional security and engineering talent to the company. Click Security was led by Marc Willibeek-LeMair and Brian Smith, and was venture backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Citi Ventures and Sequoia Capital. Alert Logic said the acquisition is its third for the company, including prior acquisition Armorlogic and Critical Watch.
