With just under a week to go until our launch weekend, we thought now would be a good time to remind you all of everything that's going on...Friday 26th September - Macmillan Coffee Morning - 10am until 12pmOn Friday 26th September we will be holding our annual coffee morning at Princes Drive Industrial Estate between 10am and 12pm. As well as serving up tea, coffee and home-made cake in style on our vintage tea ware, you can also try your luck in our raffle - first prize is a beautiful flower arrangement courtesy of Randall Inc.Last year we raised £1100 for Macmillan Cancer Support - we would love to beat that this year. So bring a friend and together we can make sure that no one faces cancer alone.Saturday 27th September - Launch Party - 10am until 4pmNext up is our official shop opening on Saturday 27th September. Richard Randall from '60 Minute Makeover' will be cutting the ribbon at 10am, and will be on hand throughout the day to dispense expert interior design advice and flower arranging hints and tips.We are also running some crafty workshops on site. Crazy Kiln are running 'Splash and Dash' pottery painting workshops between 11am and 2pm - Diana and her team will be able to give you some speedy but stylish techniques to paint mugs, plates, bowls and much more. If you fancy a more sedate affair, she will be holding a 1 hour clay canvas painting session at 12pm where you will have plenty of time to create a pottery masterpiece. 'Splash and Dash' projects start from £5, and the clay canvas workshop will cost £12.Local artist Helen Clues will also be running mosaic making workshops throughout the day, and she will show you how to use traditional materials, reclaimed ceramics, buttons and other media to make simple but striking mosaics. Prices range between £5 and £25 depending on the project, which includes coasters, mirrors and hanging decorations.Neither of the workshops on offer require previous experience or special skills, and are suitable for all ages - though we do ask that all children are accompanied by an adult.We would love to see you on either day - it's the perfect chance to browse the new shop, meet the team and learn a new skill.
